It’s almost spring ballet time! Auditions for Coppelia 2026 will be held this Wednesday and Thursday — January 7-8, 2026! Coppelia runs April 30-May 2, 2026, at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts.
THE AUDITION: Students who are in Ballet 2-8 (only second-year level 2 students, please) and taking their required number of ballet classes each week, are invited to audition. There are no age requirements for this production. Dancers must attend the audition to participate. (We will have altered class schedules on these days to accommodate the auditions.)
Wednesday, Jan. 7
Ballet 7/8: 3:20 pm – 5:00 pm
Ballet 5/6: 5:05 pm – 6:45 pm
Callbacks: 7:00 pm-7:30 pm
Thursday, Jan. 8
Ballet 2/3 (only second-year level 2’s): 5:30 pm – 6:40 pm
Ballet 4: 6:40 pm – 8:00 pm
Dancers should wear their class leotard, pink or skin tone tights, and matching pink or skin tone ballet slippers. Hair should be up in a bun (or as close to it as hairstyle allows). Level 5 and up should also bring their pointe shoes in case they are needed. The audition will be held like a normal ballet class.
